Lunch with Dolphin and Fish

Yay! It's Friday! It is also Teacher Appreciation Day! This gave me lots of excuse to cook simple dimple lunch for my girl. :) (plus use my another mold which I bought during Chinese New Year)


Dolphin is mold by white rice. I steam pumpkin and mold to fish shape which the pumpkin maybe steam too long and easy to break. :s Dolphin is surrounding with Hokkaido cream stew chicken, potatoes and carrots.

Serve with pumpkin corn soup (not showed in picture).

3D Panda

I need to take charge full time house cleaning and chef for this whole week as mom in law was just back from cataract surgery. Foods need to separate cook as doctor advice her to take soft food. Chinese always have Do's and Don't after any surgery. :s

Such a short time preparation, I decide to make the panda! Panda is always one of my favorite. :) I tried to make this in 3D.


The ears, hands and legs are rice wrap with nori. It is serve with fish cake and "Chun Juan" Egg roll skin wrap with pork meat. Panda is holding hm...over-cooked asparagus.

Come Home, MH 370

It was 12th days MH 370 missing from space....from earth.We as usual no matter how busy we are, our household radio or TV will always tune on mode to hope we can receive update news regards to this aircraft. Team rescue and searching had been increased from 5 to 10 to even 26 countries. Appreciate those countries giving hands in helping searching passengers and crews from the flight. 


The plane is made by rice and adding details by nori. It was served with braised egg, fried fish and some steam fish with wild berries.

Olivia can sense from this bento I made and told me mom, they (MH370) will be safe and will be back soon!

Stay calm adn pray for MH 370 crew, passengers and families.

Merry Christmas 2013!

Merry Christmas!

It was Christmas time, a time who is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas trees, carol, songs every where you can see and hear. 

I did not went out places to have turkey dinner in eve or xmas day, but I cooked slight simple and heavy dishes for everyone. ;) And a little surprise for them. ;p


Rudolph for Mother in law.
She never expect that there is Xmas Rudolph fall on her plate. Excited and happily enjoy it. 


Santa for hubby!
He feel so blessed and warm when he saw another character join our dinner. ;)

I had a small tiny eyes which Santa really look like me. ^-^

Snowman for Olivia!
She love this much after watch the Frozen from cinema. 

Dinner is served with chicken (marinate with Jack Daniels Barbeque Sauce) and salads. Characters made from above are made by Mashed potatoes.
